Overview

The platform was designed as a connected insurance ecosystem serving Relationship Managers (RMs), Insurers, Corporate HRs, and Employees. While separate portals were built for each stakeholder group, my primary responsibility was designing the Corporate HR Portal and the Employee Experience across mobile and web.

The HR Portal became the operational hub where HR teams could onboard employees, monitor policy-related activity, and manage insurance workflows end to end. I also contributed to lead creation, client onboarding, and payment journeys to keep the experience consistent across the wider ecosystem.

The challenge

Corporate HR teams had no centralized system for managing employee insurance operations. Tracking onboarding progress, documentation, policy activity, and employee actions meant coordinating across multiple stakeholders and fragmented tools.

The challenge was to design a scalable HR workspace that simplified day-to-day operations while fitting cleanly into a larger ecosystem connecting insurers, relationship managers, and employees.

Research and insight

Through stakeholder discussions and workflow analysis, several operational patterns emerged:

  • HR teams needed a single source of truth for insurance-related operations

  • Administrative tasks were repetitive and scattered across multiple touchpoints

  • Limited visibility into employee coverage, claims, and endorsements slowed decision-making

  • HRs valued quick actions and operational transparency over feature-heavy interfaces

Product strategy

To simplify a genuinely complex, multi-stakeholder workflow, I studied dashboard patterns across enterprise SaaS, HRTech, and operations-focused products — looking specifically at how mature systems balanced visibility, task management, and scalability for multiple user types at once.

The strategy that emerged prioritized operational transparency and quick actions over an exhaustive feature set, since HR teams needed to move fast, not explore.

Experience Architecture

Workflow-mapping exercises defined how onboarding, policy management, employee enrollment, and day-to-day operational actions could live inside a single workspace. These exercises shaped the information architecture, navigation structure, and the prioritization of the HR team's most critical tasks.

Interface system

The final platform gave HR teams a modular workspace to:

  • Generate and manage policy quotes

  • Enroll and administer employees

  • Review policy benefits and coverage

  • Process endorsements

  • Monitor claims

  • Manage account balances and transactions

The interface consolidated multiple operational journeys into a single, intuitive platform — reducing navigation complexity and dependency on support.

Outcome

Shipped in August 2026 and now live, the platform gives HR teams a single, centralized workspace for insurance operations supporting employees through a consolidated self-service experience.
